This notice describes exactly what this website collects, why, and what happens to it afterwards. It covers necpracticetest.com only. Our other websites publish their own notices.

What this site collects

Information you give us

This site no longer has a contact form. The former "Request Access" form for the full practice bank was replaced by a link to create a free ElectricalDocs member account at electricaldocs.com; that site's own privacy notice covers member accounts.

How we know where you came from

If you arrive through a link that carries campaign tags in the address (the utm_source-style parameters used by advertising and referral links), and if your browser tells us which site you came from, we keep the campaign tags from the address you arrived on, and the address of the site that referred you in your browser's session storage and attach them to the ElectricalDocs sign-up link if you follow it. We do this so we can tell which pages and channels actually help people — not to identify you.

• It is not a cookie. Session storage is held by your browser tab and is discarded when you close the tab. It is not sent to other sites and cannot be read by them.
• It stores only those two things. No identifier, no profile, no browsing history.
• If you never follow the sign-up link, it is never sent anywhere and disappears when the tab closes.
• Blocking session storage will not stop you using this site.

What this site does not do

• No cookies are set by this website — the session storage described above is the only client-side storage we use.
• No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts run on this site. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recorders.
• We do not buy, sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever.
• We do not build advertising profiles or use your information to target you with advertising anywhere.
• If you never follow the sign-up link, this site collects no personal information about you at all.

Our web server keeps ordinary access logs, as effectively every web server does. Those logs are used to keep the site running and secure, not to identify you.

How your information is used and shared

This site sends us nothing about you. If you follow the sign-up link, the account you create is held by electricaldocs.com under its own notice.

Beyond that, we share your information only:

• with the service provider who operates parts of this system on our behalf — our web host — and only as far as needed to do that job;
• where we are legally required to, such as valid legal process;
• with your consent.

We do not share your information with any other company for its own marketing.

How long we keep it

This site keeps no enquiry records: it has no form.

Your choices

Write to admin@electricaldocs.com with the subject line "Privacy request". You can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information;
• stop contacting you.

We will confirm receipt and tell you what we did. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under your local law; we will honour those on request.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

Children

This site is intended for electrical and building professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the revised version replaces this one at this same address and the date below changes. We keep a dated record of revisions rather than silently editing the page.
